Creates Programs to Promote April 28 “March for Babies” Event – and Beyond
DENVER, April 27, 2012 – Downing Street, a Denver-based boutique communications consultancy, will be providing pro bono public relations services to the Colorado March of Dimes for its April 28, 2012 “March for Babies” event, as well as ongoing support for the organization’s future communication needs.
“We are pleased to have Downing Street’s very skilled team supporting the organization,” said Kathryn Marshall, state director of the Colorado chapter. “We have a great opportunity to grow awareness of both the mission and the work of the March of Dimes in the state.”
The agency’s team has started by providing significant support for the March of Dimes “March for Babies” fundraiser this Saturday, April 28, 2012. For this event, the March of Dimes is sponsoring organized walks in seven different Colorado cities.
According to Jennifer Dulles, president of Downing Street, “The March of Dimes has so many stories of families touched by birth defects and premature births, and those families truly bring the story home. It’s amazing to have such compelling human interest stories to share, and we look forward to bringing them to Colorado through both media relations and social media outreach.” Following the “March for Babies” event, the agency will work with the March of Dimes to create an ongoing public relations campaign and social media strategy.
